From a Small Shop Tool to Industry Level: How FlitBook Pro Grew
FlitBook Pro began as a small tool. Client by client, requirement by requirement, it grew into software that can serve almost any business. This is how.
Every product has a beginning, and FlitBook Pro's was small. It started as a simple tool for a shop, built to make billing and stock a little easier. Nobody planned that it would one day run an oil refinery. The way it grew says a lot about how we work.
One client at a time
We never built features because they looked good on a list. We built them because a real client had a real problem. A shop owner needed faster billing, so we improved billing. A business needed better stock control, so we added it. Each requirement became a module, and each module was designed so it would not belong to one client alone. Whatever we built for one business had to be usable by any other.
That one rule shaped everything: develop for the client in front of you, but design for every business that comes after.
The project that changed the direction
The turning point was a cooking oil refinery in Faisalabad, Irfania Industry. They were running their business on Microsoft Excel, and a refinery is a very different place from a shop. We moved them to FlitBook Pro and then customised the software around the way a refinery really works.
Nauman Javed, our CEO, Founder and Developer, remembers that project as the one that gave him courage, confidence and a destination. It showed that the same product that served a small counter could be shaped to serve an industry. Many developments followed from that moment, and we are grateful to Irfania Industry for trusting us with it.
What the clients taught us
- Computer and laptop shops wanted to prepare the specifications of a system and create the invoice in the same place at the time of sale. We designed an assembly feature inside FlitBook Pro to do exactly that, and many shops now use it every day.
- Restaurants and cafes needed billing that works in a single click, with table booking, take-away tokens, delivery and a credit ledger.
- Businesses with tax requirements needed integration with the tax authority. We developed a complete FBR module where invoices are validated in real time through FBR/PRAL.
- Car wash and spare parts businesses needed point-of-sale for services and invoicing with inventory for parts, along with purchasing, expenses, HRM and reports.
None of these started as a grand plan. Each one began with a client saying, "This is what we need."
What this means for you
When you work with us, you are not buying software frozen in time. You are getting a product that has already been shaped by many different businesses, and that can still be shaped to yours. If your process is unusual, we do not ask you to change it. We study it and build the module that fits.
The team behind it
AmfaTech is led by Nauman Javed, CEO, Founder and Developer. Ajmal Hassan is our General Manager, and M. Waseem is our General Sales/Marketing Manager. Together they lead the company.
If you are thinking about moving from Excel or registers to a proper system, or you need software for a kind of business we have not mentioned, tell us about it. You can also see how FlitBook Pro and FlitERP compare.
